Music Makers at Home & Around the World​

Your child is now ready for a 2-year music program that is carefully sequenced to equip your child to begin studying a musical instrument.  In-depth ear training, playing in ensembles, and working with written music notation are just a few of the new skills introduced in this course. 

Year 1: Through music, poetry, and stories we visit four unique habitats and the wildlife that lives in each. Throughout the year each instrument family of the orchestra is explored.  Your child will be introduced to melodic and rhythmic notation and develop ensemble skills.
Year 2: Come along and visit four cultures from around the world. Musical concepts are taught using the music, folk tales, and dances of each culture.  Your child to take their ear training and knowledge of musical notation to the next level.  You will get to watch your child blossom as they sound out songs on barred instruments begin sight reading familiar tunes with solfegge.
